Jenna Fischer's most well-known role is that of Pam Beesly in the highly acclaimed television show The Office. The actress won the award of two SAG Awards and an Emmy for her stellar performance on the comedy's ensemble.
Her family was based in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in church plays when she was younger and was able to instill a love of theater and performance.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her home base. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons to be Happy. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run in the Old Globe Theatre.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey started a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to gained immense popularity, settling within the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads over its first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide that outlines her experience in Hollywood as an actor in the field and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who were There, an account of the most memorable friendships they enjoyed and their experiences watching The Office.
