April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, began taking piano and guitar lessons from age seven. The passion for creating songs was sparked. April's very first song was called Different which she composed at the age of 12. At the age of 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her musical ability. Soon after, April started to go on trips with her dad as well as write her songs in NY and LA. April began including other topics in her book Take My Hand to help her friends who were dealing with disabilities, peer pressure or even suicide. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer who has a growing number of followers. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia with whom she has a partnership and is also a specialist in lifestyle. Her birth was without a left hand and that is part of who she is--but it's hardly her whole story. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't conceal her being disabled however, it doesn't make a point of it. The message? The message? We have many different aspects, that our identities and physical selves are not all that they appear. Lockhart says in a video interview with Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance should define my character. I don't intend to be an influencer on disabilities because I've got so much more to offer." The issue doesn't affect my everyday activities. I go about doing my job as normal and have developed my own methods to adjust. The same is true for my personality, and that it is something to be talked about. Lockhart, a real motivation for self-acceptance generally and is currently on a lengthy process to attain this. Even so, Lockhart admits to going through periods when she felt uncomfortable with her appearance as well as wearing clothes that showed her arms. She now wears any outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook with pride. She says that self-love is a journey. It's hard to say if you'll ever reach the final stage. However, I believe that's the case with everyone with whatever they are struggling with. I think that having people close to you who truly know you and see your feelings is crucial as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you worried about?
